I head of for Dublin today to catch up with my prodigiously vast family and to run the marathon. May I especially thank those who clicked on the link on this site and generously donated moeny to the charity that I am running for. Should I survive I will email you to thank you personally. If I don;t … well cast lots for my stereo.

  1. Best of luck in the marathon! I surely don’t understand you runners, but if it’s for a good cause, well, then you can count on me for some cheers.

  2. My knees wish your knees good luck! Mine only went 3.5 miles today and are telling me all about it (Even though that’s only 1.75 miles each so what are they complaining about). Anyway, does your stereo do records or just CDs? Can I have the speakers?

  3. Ooh Good Luck! You must be incredibly fit or a little crazy but it’s all for a good cause so well done you (sorry that was really random comment..I must edit what I think before writing it down!)

  4. Just your stereo? Damn.

Good luck, Moobs! Run, Moobs, Run!

    (couldn’t help myself)

  5. Thanks for the good wishes. I got back last night and am now facing the joy of having to go down stairs backwards. the run went both badly and well. badly because I cramped at Mile 20 and had to run/walk the last 5 miles which meant that what had looked like a decent time faded. It went well because I still managed a personal best time, shaving 8 minutes off my London Marathon time. My knees and I are still together.

  6. Congratulations Moobs! It sounds like your marathon went well – I think they are all like that. HURRAY for you!

You inspire me! I hope your case goes as well – well, maybe better

  7. Wow Moobs, congratulations. I would definately have thrown in the towel after the cramping set in. You’re amazing.
